Peach & Coconut Water

From the Darkroom Secrets Limited Edition Series

The Story Behind the Photograph

A little peach, a little coconut water, and a secret somewhere in the Bahamas.

Captured on film along the beautiful shores of the Bahamas, Peach & Coconut Water features a woman in a bikini walking toward the ocean, her curves framed by the sand, sea, and tropical surroundings.

At first glance, it's a playful, sensual beach photograph. But the title holds a double meaning, and the peach, the coconut, and the water are part of a much more intimate story.

What really happened in the Bahamas, and what those three innocent ingredients have to do with it, will forever remain a mystery.

Part of Caferotica's Darkroom Secrets, this black and white film photograph preserves a real moment from a story known only to those who were there.

Handcrafted in the Darkroom

Originally captured on photographic film, each photograph is individually handcrafted in our traditional darkroom using the silver gelatin process on ILFORD MULTIGRADE black-and-white photographic paper.

Every print is exposed, developed, fixed, washed, and dried by hand, producing rich blacks, delicate tonal transitions, and the distinctive character of analog photography.
